BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SADGURU EDUCATION SOCIETY

Inspired by the noble thought of providing learning opportunity in Physical Education to the rural and  tribal lads from the surrounding areas, Hon'ble Madhukarrao Dhanaji Chaudhari (Former Chairperson Maharashtra State Assembley and Education Minister Government of Maharashtra) established Sadguru  Education Society in 1989. Prior to the establishment of this Institute Students from Jalgaon District were  compelled to go to Mumbai, Pune, Amravati, Aurangabad to study the needy and poor remained deprived of such a facility, because of the High Cost Education.

Hon. Madhukarrao Chaudhari, the expirer and Education Minister & President of the assembly of Maharashtra & who is called now Shikshan Maharshi of the Maharashtra State, established Sadguru Education Society in 1989 for noble cause of providing higher education in Physical Education to the tribal, rural and socio-Economically under privileged aspiring students. B.P.Ed colleges in Auragabad, Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune , Amravati were out of reach of poor student in Jalgaon district hence the institution introduced College of Physical Education in 1990 under the able leadership of Hon. Balasaheb ( Loksevak) and Dr.Prof. Narayan Khadke, Physical director and Shiv Chatrapati Awarded , the Institution is steadily spreading its roots like Bunyan tree.

The society felt the need to introduce Primary and Secondary schools at remote rural & places like Khedi , 10 KM. from the main city in 1993 these schools are run in a separate building

The society owned building with a ground , Gymkhana and satisfactory sports equipments accompanied by the qualified and enthusiastic staff helped to enrich efficiency and performance of the institution Considering the steady growth and benefits to its stakeholders the state government granted permission to run B.P.E. in 1993 the institution boasts to be the first of its kind introduce 3 year graduation course B.P.E. from the North Maharashtra University Jalgaon Vide their letter no. NMU/94/5 dated 20/7/1994.

The M.P.Ed. Course was modified as per the guidelines of the U.G.C. accordingly it was split up in two year 1998. For the academic year 2007-2008 the N.C.T.E. Bhopal granted permission to run B.Ed. ( Bachelor of Education ) Course to the institution vile their letter no. W/5-6/92 /2006 dated 24/12/2006 Hence the B.Ed. course is introduced and it is running smoothly.The society owns swimming tank . It benefits swimming exercises and sports man in the region.

COURSES AND CURRICULAR RUN BY PHYSICAL EDUCATION COLLEGE

BACHELOR IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION ( B. P. ED.) -

In the year 1990 for the first time, Bachelor in Physical Education One Year Degree Course was started and the teaching started in the same academic year.

MASTER OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION (M. P. ED.) 

The college applied to North Maharashtra Universityto seek permission to start M. P. Ed. In its inspection, the university appointed committee found the infrastructure,library, Teaching Facility and all other facilities to be adequate and highly satis factory. On the basis of the committee report the North Maharashtra University granted permission to start one year master of physical education,in the year 1992 (North Maharashtra University letter NMU/92/5/J/34/4313 dated 18-5-02) According to the newly framed rules of University grant commission the duration of M. P. Ed. Course was increased two years. Subsequently North Maharashtra University following the UGC Norms introduced two year M. P. Ed. Course which is currently run in College

OTHER EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF THE SADGURU EDUCATION SOCIETIES

Although initially Sadguru Education Society emphasis on the specialized training in Physical Education and started the college, it was aware and took cognition of need of other educational facilities.

PRIMARY EDUCATION

Primary Educations initial building block in the life of any individual. Therefore the society decided to focus upon primary education sector. After receiving permission from Government of Maharashtra (Maharashtra State Letter No. 93-94/30-32 dated 07/02/1994) the Sadguru Education Society established Schools at different centre, in independent building to impart quality primary education.

COMPUTER LITERACY

Computer Literacy of Primary school in this Eva computer literacy and skills is a must particularly for the upcoming generation. Lack of computer learning facilities is severely felt particularly in the remote tribal, rural areas of Jalgaon District. Significantly in the primary school run by the Society computers and computer skill is a component of learning and teaching.
